What the D10 chart is
Each sign is split into ten parts of 3 degrees, and each part is given a sign of its own. Put every planet in its part’s sign and you have the dashamsha, the chart classical astrology reads for power and position.
The ten guardians
The classical text puts each tenth under one of the ten guardians of the directions: Indra, Agni, Yama, Rakshasa, Varuna, Vayu, Kubera, Ishana, Brahma and Ananta.
It names them and leaves their reading to the astrologer. We show yours without a verdict.
Why the time must be exact
A tenth lasts about twelve minutes on the rising sign, so the D10 rising sign needs a time from a certificate or record. A guessed time can move every house in this chart.

Can the D10 tell me my career?
It shows which planets carry weight in that part of the chart. It does not predict a job title, and we won’t pretend it does.
What is my D10 deity?
The guardian of the direction over the part of the sign your D10 rising degree falls in. The classical text names the ten guardians; it does not say what each means for a career.
Why is my D10 different on another site?
Some software counts even signs from the 10th sign instead of the 9th. The classical text’s own table counts from the 9th, as we do.
