Your life map: every dasha, Sade Sati and return on one line
Enter your birth details and see your whole life on one line, from birth to 100. You see every mahadasha and antardasha (your planetary periods), every Sade Sati, and the years Saturn, Jupiter and Rahu come back to where they stood when you were born. Then add your own dates, and see where each one falls.
Your date, time and place of birth. The dasha dates move with the minute, so the page tells you by how much.
What is a life map?
Most sites give you one piece of your timing at a time: a dasha calculator here, a Sade Sati check there, a Saturn return somewhere else. You are left to line them up yourself.
The life map puts them all on one line. So you can see, for example, that your Saturn return fell inside your Rahu years, or that your next Sade Sati starts the same year as a new mahadasha.
What is on the life map?
- The dashas: the planetary periods classical Vedic astrology divides a life into. Each mahadasha holds nine antardashas, and each antardasha holds nine pratyantars.
- Saturn's long stretches: Sade Sati, plus Ashtama and Kantaka Shani, the years Saturn spends in the 8th and the 4th sign from your Moon. These are long-held traditions in Indian astrology.
- The returns: Saturn back where it stood at your birth (about every 29 and a half years), Jupiter (about every 12) and Rahu and Ketu (about every 18 and a half).
Why add your own dates?
Because your own life is the best check on any chart. Add the dates you remember exactly, like a move, a wedding or a new job. The map shows which period each one fell in.
It also shows how close each date sits to a change of period. A date only days from a change says a lot about how exact your birth time is. Your dates stay on your device. We never see them.
How exact are the dates?
The dasha dates depend on your birth minute. They are counted from the Moon at your birth, and the Moon moves fast. So a few minutes out can move every date by days or weeks. The page works out the figure for your own chart, and you can tell it how sure your time is.
Sade Sati and the returns don't move with the minute. They come from where Saturn, Jupiter and Rahu stood, and those planets move slowly.
Does the life map predict what will happen?
It shows the seasons of your chart with their dates, and leaves the reading of them to your own life. It doesn't say what will happen in any of these years. No warnings, no countdowns, nothing to buy.

Open the sample readingWhat is the difference between mahadasha and antardasha?
The mahadasha is the long period, from 6 to 20 years, ruled by one planet. Each one splits into nine antardashas, shorter periods ruled by each planet in turn. On the map, the mahadashas are the wide coloured stretches, and the antardashas are the thin strip under them.
How many times does Sade Sati come in a life?
Usually two or three times. Saturn takes about 29 and a half years to go round the zodiac, and each Sade Sati lasts about seven and a half years. The map shows every one in your first 100 years, with its three phases.
What is a Jupiter return?
Jupiter takes about 12 years to go round the zodiac. So it comes back to the sign it held at your birth at about 12, 24, 36 and so on. Astrologers today call these years your Jupiter return. Each one lasts about a year.
Can I use the life map without a birth time?
The dashas need at least a rough time. Across one day the Moon moves about 13 degrees, so without a time the dasha dates could be years out. If you know your time roughly, enter your best guess and say how sure you are. The page shows how far the dates could move.
Does the map say what will happen?
It shows which period you are in, and when each one starts and ends, but not what will happen. What a period is like is read against your own life, which is why you can add your own dates. No warnings, and nothing to buy.
The map shows the seasons. The reading finds the pattern.
